World Central Kitchen boss on Gaza death: 'My heart is broken'

The head of the charity World Central Kitchen, chef José Andrés, has called for an end to the “indiscriminate” attacks on the Gaza Strip, one of which left several staff dead.

“We have received reports that WCK personnel were killed in an IDF attack while providing food supplies in Gaza. This is a tragedy. Aid workers and civilians should never be targeted. Never,” he said.

Andres writes that his heart is broken. He calls the dead angels, saying that he worked with them in Ukraine, Turkey, Malaysia, Gaza, Morocco, Indonesia. “They have faces, they have names,” says the head of the organization.
