The focus of the China and Europe Human Rights Seminar 2022 on technology and human rights protection

The 2022 China-Europe Human Rights Seminar, co-organized by the Chinese Society for the Study of Human Rights and the Austria-China Friendship Association, was held simultaneously this week in the Chinese cities of Wuhan and Vienna.

The seminar was attended by over 100 human rights experts and officials from China, Austria, Britain, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Greece and Spain, as well as the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Chinese Media Group (CMG) reported. ).

Vice President of the Chinese Society for the Study of Human Rights Xu Xienming pointed out that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, headed by Xi Jinping, put respect and protection of human rights in an important place in governing the country.

China has embarked on a path of human rights development that is in line with the trend of the times and the Chinese reality, which not only enables the great development of human rights of the Chinese people, but also makes a great contribution to the advancement of human rights in the global sphere.

Former president and president of the Association of Friendship of Austria and China Heinz Fischer said at the meeting that the Internet, big data and artificial intelligence have already changed the lives of all of us, which brought new challenges and opportunities in terms of human rights protection.

Chinese Ambassador to Austria Li Xiaosi said that China and Austria should develop constructive dialogue and cooperation in the spirit of mutual respect, equal treatment, openness and inclusion, in order to jointly promote the development of human rights.
