Croatia Airlines will offer Wi-Fi on its flight for the first time

Croatia Airlines has signed an agreement with Panasonic Avionics Corporation, the world’s leading provider of in-flight connectivity (IFEC), to provide Wi-Fi services for its new Airbus A220 fleet.

The Croatian national airline has decided to equip its fleet with Wi-Fi for the first time through the installation of Panasonic Avionics’ Ku-band satellite system on 15 new A220 aircraft by 2027. The first new aircraft is expected in June this year.

Croatia Airlines passengers on A220 aircraft will be able to enjoy fast Wi-Fi during the flight, which will enable them to use their devices to stay connected, work, surf or communicate with loved ones. Each seat in the new fleet of A220 aircraft will also have USB-A and USB-C ports, along with practical holders for smartphones and tablets for greater passenger comfort.

Croatia Airlines chose Panasonic Avionics as a service provider thanks to their Ku-band solution, which meets the company’s highest requirements when it comes to; about online services. This decision was made to ensure compatibility with the Airbus A220 platform and reaffirms Croatia Airlines’ commitment to providing exceptional services to passengers.

The Ku-band antenna installed on the new A220 fleet of Croatia Airlines will connect each aircraft to the global communication network of Panasonic Avionics satellites, which is characterized by high speed and high bandwidth, so that the capacity is placed where it is most needed to meet the needs airlines and their passengers.
