Walked near Arad – and discovered remains of an Iranian missile
Crowds of Israelis went for a walk on Passover, and a group of Israelis who were walking near Arad discovered to their surprise in the middle of the route the remains of an Iranian missile that was launched as part of the extensive attack last Saturday. We note that this is apparently a fragment of an intercepted missile – and additional remains were located shortly after the barrage inside the city.Officials in the Home Front Command and the police confirmed to N12 that the incident is recognized and dealt with. The authorities are expected to clear the remains of the missile in the coming days, and it did not pose a danger to the travelers who saw it.

After the heavy barrage on Israel, another missile was discovered in the center of the Dead Sea – apparently of the same model that was discovered tonight in Arad. It is a missile with a warhead weighing about 450 kg. The IDF ordered media from Israel and the world to document it. Lieutenant E. from the unit that qualifies the missiles, said: “At the head of the battle are about 400 kg of explosives, that’s what can be estimated based on the blast holes.”

“We learn what the dangerous parts are, how to neutralize them to minimize the risk, and how to work with them, and that’s what we do in the field. After that, it goes to the munitions dismantling institute, where we do things that cannot be done in the field.” Lieutenant E. also added: “I was surprised to meet the missile for the first time face-to-face,” continued Lieutenant E. “The last time ballistic missiles were fired at Israel was in the Gulf War. I knew what I was up against, we know the ammunition and know how to deal with it.”
