Belgrade will become an international meeting point for innovation, business and culture in 2027 – and Austria is right in the middle of it. From May 15th to August 15th the Serbian capital will take place EXPO 2027 will take place under the motto “Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All”.

As the first specialized World’s Fair In the Western Balkan region, with around 4.1 million expected visitors and more than 130 participating nations, it will be the most important major international event in Southeast Europe in the coming year. Austria’s participation is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

This Winning project The selection for the Austrian Expo Pavilion was determined in a two-stage process: With facts and fiction, a dedicated team with many years of expertise in the design of pavilions and exhibitions prevailed. This together with ZONE Media and PLANET architects developed concept moves the Danube in the center. It acts as a living axis for business and innovation and connects Austria and Serbia as well as people, ideas and companies.

In addition to the Danube as a connecting element, the… Innovation Lab the heart of the pavilion. Present there Austrian companies, research facilities and institutions present their solutions to the challenges of tomorrow in a dynamic exhibition – from Green Tech and digitalization to energy and mobility to education.

The EXPO 2027 comes at a strategically important time for Austria. As one of the largest investors In Serbia, Austria is already represented locally by more than 800 companies. At the same time, Serbia has an unused one until 2029 Export potential of more than 400 million euros. The entire Western Balkan region is one of the most dynamic future markets in Europe.
