Bach Hoa Xanh expects a profit of nearly 1,000 billion VND

This is information shared by Mr. Vu Dang Linh, General Director of Mobile World Investment Joint Stock Company (MWG), at the investor meeting on the afternoon of August 4. With the current growth momentum, Bach Hoa Xanh – MWG’s food retail chain will likely soon complete its profit target of 1,800 billion VND for the whole year.

Over the past half year, Bach Hoa Xanh continued to rapidly expand its network. After 6 months, the chain has opened 632 stores and is about to exceed the plan to open 1,000 points of sale in 2026. About half of the new stores are distributed in the North and Central regions, the rest in the South.

In the North, average revenue reaches about 1 billion VND per store per month, while the first selling points begin to make a profit after 3-6 months of operation. Particularly in Hanoi, they prioritize opening stores in suburban areas first, then flexibly choose townhouse or apartment premises depending on the characteristics of each area.

Dien May Xanh – another growth driver of Mobile World – also recorded positive business results. In the second quarter alone, net revenue reached 32,738 billion VND, up 26% over the same period, while profit after tax reached 2,658 billion VND, up 98% and is the highest level ever.

Accumulated in the first 6 months of the year, the chain reached 65,280 billion VND in net revenue and 4,876 billion VND in profit after tax, up 27% and 73% respectively over the same period.

If Bach Hoa Xanh is in the stage of expanding its scale, Dien May Xanh has just gone through a streamlining and improving point-of-sale productivity. Therefore, gross profit margin also improved to 20.1%, from 17.7% in the same period, thanks to optimizing product structure and selling prices. Many product groups recorded high growth such as air conditioners, iPhones, laptops, refrigerators and home appliances.

After the first 6 months of the year, MWG recorded more than 6,100 billion VND in profit after tax, equivalent to about 66% of the year plan (9,200 billion VND). According to Mr. Linh, if there are no major fluctuations, businesses can complete their profit target 2-3 months in advance.
