The Ministry of Education and the Prado renew their collaboration to promote Spanish education, language and culture

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Santiago Antonio Roura Gómezand the director of the National Prado Museum, Miguel Falomir, This Monday they signed the General Protocol of Action between the Ministry and the Museum, which renews the commitment of both institutions to continue collaborating in the educational field over the next four years.

This collaboration may host all types of initiatives that arise related to the objectives of the Foreign Educational Action of the Ministry and that promote the dissemination of educationthe Spanish language and culture, as reported by the Ministry.

The protocol contemplates, for example, the organization of activities with the educational communities of the centers and programs of the Foreign Educational Action. Competitions, festivals, workshops, conferences, meetings and conferences are some of the activities that will be part of the collaboration framework.

Joint actions may also be carried out by participating in international training events that respond to the dissemination objectives of the Spanish educational system and Spanish linguistic and cultural diversity.

The agreement also refers to the planning of training activities. According to the training needs of teachers of Spanish and other subjects in Spanish that are part of the Foreign Educational Action of the Ministry, by common agreement activities will be organized that contribute to the quality of teaching and the use of the resources available to both institutions.

Thanks to the agreement, both institutions will support each other in the dissemination of their activities through their communication channels, especially through social networks. With the signing of the Protocol, The National Prado Museum enables its funds and collections as a resource for teaching Spanish as a foreign language. and thus allows the Foreign Educational Action of the Ministry to continue counting on these valuable resources to fulfill its training objectives.
