630 million dirhams in Abu Dhabi hotel revenues in January

The number of hotel guests in Abu Dhabi in January of this year reached 499,000 guests, compared to 398,000 guests in January of last year, a growth rate of 25.3%.

Abu Dhabi hotels recorded an average occupancy of hotel rooms of 78% in January of this year, compared to an average occupancy of 72% in the same period last year.

According to statistics from the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi recorded revenues amounting to 630 million dirhams in the month of January, compared to revenues amounting to 545 million dirhams in January of last year, with a growth rate of 15.5%. Revenues for the month of January of this year were distributed among room revenues. With a value of 388 million dirhams, food and beverage revenues worth 172 million dirhams, and other revenues worth 70 million dirhams.

Abu Dhabi hotel guests spent 1.3 million hotel nights, and the average length of stay for guests was 2.8 nights.

The average cost per night in hotel rooms was 474 dirhams, while the average revenue per available hotel room was 371 dirhams.

The number of hotel establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi reached 172 establishments, including 34.3 thousand hotel rooms and apartments. The number of hotel guests in the Abu Dhabi region reached 450,000 guests, followed by the Al Ain region with 36,000 guests, and the Al Dhafra region with 12,000 guests.

The number of hotel nights spent by guests in the Abu Dhabi region reached 1.2 million nights, 69 thousand nights in the Al Ain region, and 34 thousand nights in the Al Dhafra region. Last January, Abu Dhabi hotels witnessed the highest occupancy at 81%, followed by Al Ain region at 63%, and Al Dhafra region at 52%.

Inmates from the UAE topped the list of inmates in terms of nationality with 108,000 inmates, then inmates from Asia, excluding Arab countries, with 129,000 inmates, Europe 111,000 inmates, Gulf Cooperation Council countries 42,000 inmates, 41,000 inmates from other Arab countries, and North America. And South America: 23,000 inmates.
